according to plan
«В соответствии с планом». Это крылатая фраза, демагогический лозунг, заимствованный из коммюнике союзников во время Первой мировой войны. Этот лозунг использовался властями для того, чтобы успокоить народ и убедить его в том, что всё происходящее было запланировано заранее. Фактически же за этой фразой скрывались военные ошибки и поражения. Это выражение стало употребляться в ироническом значении для описания любой ситуации, развивающейся вовсе не по плану.

We are constantly being assured that everything is going according to plan, but the fact is that the situation is deteriorating rapidly. — Нас постоянно уверяют, что всё идёт в соответствии с планом, но в действительности же ситуация быстро ухудшается.
